Art
It is very difficult for me to summarize in one sentence my reasons for creating art. My art is a reflection of what I observe and feel about the surrounding world. On top of that, my work is an attempt to experiment with different media and learn something from it. That was how I got into large-scale works like Snow Sculpture and Chalk art. I was daunted by the size and scope of the project. Many times collaborating with other artists, other times alone, I have conquered the medium of snow or sidewalk only to see my temporary work be washed away or melted by nature.

Many ask me if I feel sorry for the melted snow sculpture or ruined chalk painting. I do not. I also walk away from the murals that I paint leaving them unprotected from nature and vandalism. I do so hoping that the appreciation of the work by the viewer will outlast the physical action of contemplating it. There is also a powerful effect of knowing that the work is temporary and fleeting and will not be there tomorrow.
And finally, I wish my work to leave a positive mark on society by bringing ignored issues and ideas or by just leaving an intrinsic positive feeling on the ordinary viewer. In the future I am hoping to create big scale works that would engage and benefit communities.
